Cinnamon is one of the most popular spices. While in most western countries this spice is mainly associated with cookies and drinks in Asian countries it is inevitable ingredient of salted foods.





Healing abilities of cinnamon are thanks to the ingredients that are found in the essential oils of its bark. The most researched ingredients cinamaldehid, cinamilacetat and cinamilalkohol. Cinnamon can be successfully used as an antioxidant, and it has very interesting smell that stimulates the brain to work better.

Studies show that with small amounts of this spice regularly entered in the diet can reduce levels of bad cholesterol, or LDL-cholesterol and regulate blood sugar, which is especially important for people with type 2 diabetes.

According to experts, it was shown that cinnamon, thanks to the lightweight anticoagulant action affects less blood clots.

The results of the research conducted at the University of Copenhagen have shown that patients diagnosed with arthritis the pain noticeably decreased after a month of daily intake of one teaspoon of cinnamon and honey in the morning.
